UNREADY.org is a spoof site I built after running into a display of "Ready Kits" on sale at my local Megalomart. The kit was scary. It came with, among other things, the stereotypical duct tape (in Safety Cone Orange), plastic sheeting, and a whistle (also orange). Not a bad kit to keep in the trunk of your car, really. But considering it also included a booklet extolling the dangers of chemical warfare and syphilis, the kit didn't leave me feeling any more ready than I already was.

After some research, I discovered that September is National Preparedness Month, and the government sponsors a website called Ready.gov to spread the good word. UNREADY.org is my response.
